CLASS: Fruit Tree Pruning

  • Garden Center 1805 Pueblo Ave Napa, CA, 94558 United States (map)

Join us for a Fruit Tree Pruning Class on January 17th at 11 AM, led by ISA Certified Arborist David Shubin and co-taught by Van Winden’s fruit-tree-enthusiast Aileen Carroll. This class will teach you how to prune your apple, pear, cherry, peach, nectarine, and plum trees for healthier growth and better fruit production.

Whether your trees are producing fruit too high to reach, growing unbalanced, or suffering from heavy crops that break branches, you’ll learn how the right pruning techniques can solve these problems. We’ll cover how to shape young trees for long-term structure, how to rejuvenate older ones, and when and how much to prune for the best results.

This class is perfect for home gardeners, orchard owners, and anyone who wants to feel more confident caring for their fruit trees. You’ll leave knowing how to make clean, purposeful cuts that encourage strong limbs, manageable height, and plentiful, high-quality fruit.
