Why plant roses in the fall?
The ground is still warm so roots will start to grow out before spring. Roots thrive when the soil is warm but the air is cool.
Rain will come soon (fingers crossed) which puts less pressure on you for watering. Cooler temps also cause plants to need much less water.
Heatwaves are likely behind us so less babysitting is necessary for plants as they establish roots.
